USA Funds Life Skills Bilingual Materials

USA Funds^® Life Skills^® is a flexible educational program that equips postsecondary institutions to teach their students to manage their time and money wisely while they are on campus and after graduation.
Two modules of USA Funds Life Skills currently are available with culturally appropriate and bilingual content. Each module includes a student skills book in either English or Spanish and a trainer’s manual in either English or Spanish.

 

USA Funds Life Skills bilingual materials are offered in conjunction with 2Futuro. Schools that offer the 2Futuro loan program to their students and parents are eligible to order USA Funds Life Skills bilingual materials.

 

The USA Funds Life Skills bilingual modules include:

 

Module 1 ― Get a Grip on Your Finances: Smart Spending for Students.

• Goals and dreams.
• Needs vs. wants.
• Budgeting.
• How much income to expect after graduation.
• Credit card do’s and don’ts.

 

Module 2 ― Seek Out Financial Aid: Funding Resources and Financial Obligations.

• Costs associated with higher education.
• Deciding how much to borrow.
• Other ways to find money for school.
• Paying off your student loans.
• Filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid.
